Here are the latest Scottish Premiership transfer rumours of the day as of 10.1.2024.
Michy Batshuayi to Rangers?
According to the Scottish Sun, Rangers are very interested in Michy Batshuayi. Philippe Clement wants to sign Batshuayi and according to this report, will hold crunch talks with him about a loan today.
Other clubs, such as Everton, are also interested, but it appears like Rangers are the frontrunners to sign him. Rangers need a proper goal scoring forward if they are to have any chance of winning the Scottish Premiership and according to the Sun, Batshuayi seems to be Clement’s choice.
However, The 4th Official’s original reporting on Patreon contradicts this, so if you want, you can keep that in mind as well.
Celtic want Romeo Amane
Celtic want to sign midfielder Romeo Amane from Hacken, but it seems that they have competition. Ajax and two French teams are also interested.
Amane, who is 20 years old and from Ivory Coast, has caught the eye of these clubs by playing well in the Europa League for his Swedish team. His contract with Hacken lasts until 2026, so the club might ask for more money as several teams are trying to sign him.
Aberdeen will not sell Bojan Miovski
Celtic and Southampton are interested in signing Bojan Miovski in the January transfer window. The 24-year-old player is also being looked at by teams in Germany, Spain, and Italy. But Aberdeen doesn’t want to sell him, and his contract goes until the summer of 2026. The assistant manager of Aberdeen, Steve Agnew, thinks Miovski is doing well with the team and has gotten better since last season when he scored 18 goals in all competitions.
Saudi clubs interested in James Tavernier
Saudi Arabian clubs are interested in Rangers captain James Tavernier, who has been with the club for nine years. There’s news that he might receive a significant offer from the Middle East, as per reports. It’s unlikely that Rangers will agree to sell him during the title race, so a move in January is not very likely. But, he could move in the summer.
Aberdeen after Stefan Gartenmann
Aberdeen want to sign Stefan Gartenmann permanently. He’s currently on loan from Midtjylland for this season. The 26-year-old defender has done well for Aberdeen, so they’re trying to figure out if they can have him stay for a longer time. They’re talking to his parent club and his agent to see if they can make a deal happen.
