Barcelona will clash heads with Barbastro at the Municipal de Deportes de Barbastro on Sunday night as they hope to secure a good result in the Copa del Rey. The Catalan outfit secured a hard-fought 2-1 win over Las Palmas recently which would keep them in high spirits ahead of this cup game.
Xavi will set his men up in a 4-3-3 formation and is expected to name a strong first XI for this clash. Vitor Roque will get a chance to lead the line for the Catalan club in the final third.
4-3-3 Barcelona Predicted Lineup To Face Barbastro
Defence
Inaki Pena will operate in between the sticks for Barca as he looks to earn a clean sheet away from home. Jules Kounde will function alongside Andreas Christensen at the heart of the Barca backline as they try to keep things solid at the back during the game.
Hector Fort could get a chance to impress as the right-back while Alejandro Balde hopes to give a good account of himself on the other flank as the left-back. Both of them will get the license to get forward and express themselves in the opponent’s half.
Ronald Araujo will be named on the bench as he provides cover for the defensive positions.
Midfield
Sergi Roberto, Oriol Romeu and Fermin Lopez will make up Xavi’s midfield as they try to dictate the tempo of the game at the centre of the park. All three of them need to figure out a way to engineer some clear-cut chances on the offensive end of the field.
Frenkie de Jong will be available for selection on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the second half if needed.
Attack
Joao Felix will try to catch the eye on the left flank while Lacine Yamal hopes to prove his worth as the right-winger. Vitor Roque will get an opportunity to spearhead Xavi’s attack up top. He would be eager to impress for Barca this weekend.
Ferran Torres and Robert Lewandowski will have to be content with a spot on the bench as they wait for their chance to influence the game in the latter stages if required.
