Manchester United will lock horns with Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Molineux Stadium this Thursday night as they look to secure all three points on their travels in the Premier League. The Red Devils managed to earn a 4-2 win away at Newport County recently which should give them some much-needed confidence ahead of this game.
Erik ten Hag will set his men up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and could make one change to his first team for this contest. Andre Onana will get a chance to play from the start of this game versus Wolves.
4-2-3-1 Manchester United Predicted Lineup To Face Wolves
Defence
Andre Onana will play in goal for the Red Devils after being rested in the win against Newport recently. Lisandro Martinez will continue to play alongside Raphael Varane at the centre of ten Hag’s backline as they try to keep the Wolves forwards frustrated throughout the 90 minutes.
Diogo Dalot will be a nailed-on starter at right-back while Luke Shaw hopes to prove his worth as the left-back. Both of them will have to pick and choose their moments to join in on the attack.
Harry Maguire will be available for selection on the bench as he offers cover for the defensive positions.
Midfield
Casemiro and Kobbie Mainoo will anchor the midfield for the Mancunian giants as they look to win the 50-50 duels in the middle of the park. The talented trio of Alejandro Garnacho, Bruno Fernandes and Antony will play just ahead of them as part of Man United’s frontline.
Fernandes would have to carry most of the creative burden for his team while Garnacho and Antony look to stretch the pitch out on the flanks.
Facundo Pellistri and Christian Eriksen will have to be content with a spot on the bench as they wait for their chance to make an impact in the final quarter of the game if needed.
Attack
Rasmus Hojlund will lead the line for the Mancunian outfit on his own up top. He managed to score against Newport which should give him a ton of confidence ahead of this midweek clash at the Molieneux.
Marcus Rashford will be named on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the second half if ten Hag opts to call upon his services.
