Tottenham Hotspur will welcome Brentford at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this Wednesday night as they look to earn a positive result at home in the Premier League. Spurs suffered a narrow 1-0 loss against Manchester City in the FA Cup recently, so they would be eager to collect all three points in midweek.
Angelos Postecoglu will set his side up in a 4-3-3 formation and could make one change to his first XI for this game. James Maddison will get a chance to impress from the start of this contest while Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg makes way for him and drops to the bench.
4-3-3 Tottenham Hotspur Predicted Lineup To Face Brentford
Defence
Guglielmo Vicario will continue to function in goal for Spurs after shipping in one goal in his last outing. Micky van de Ven will try to impress alongside Cristian Romero at the centre of the Tottenham backline as they focus on stopping the Brentford attackers from scoring throughout the game.
Pedro Porro will fill in as the right-back while Destiny Udogie looks to give a good account of himself on the other flank as the left-back. Both of them will get the freedom to get forward and join in on the attack at every chance they get.
Radu Dragusin will have to settle for a spot on the bench as he provides cover for the defensive positions.
Midfield
James Maddison, Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski will make up Postecoglu’s midfield three as they look to impress by dominating the game at the centre of the park. All three of them need to combine well if the North London club are to come out on top this week.
Oliver Skipp will be named on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the second half if required.
Attack
Timo Werner will look to put his pace to good use on the left flank while Brennan Johnson tries to catch the eye on the right-wing. Richarlison will spearhead Postecoglu’s attack down the middle. The Brazilian sensation needs to figure out a way to threaten the Brentford goal during the 90 minutes.
Bryan Gil has to be content with a spot on the bench as he waits for his chance to shine in the latter stages if needed.
