Tottenham Hotspur welcomed Brentford at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium earlier tonight as they looked to earn a good result at home in the Premier League. Spurs made a sloppy start to the game as they conceded the opening goal in the 15th minute when Neal Maupay found the back of the net. The home team went into the half-time break 1-0 down on the scoreline.
Destiny Udogie equalised for Tottenham in the 48th minute before Brennan Johnson completed the turnaround a minute later. Richarlison gave his team some breathing room in the 56th minute. However, Brentford responded courtesy of Ivan Toney’s effort in the 67th minute. The contest finished with Angelos Postecoglu’s men earning a hard-fought 3-2 win in front of their home supporters.
