West Ham United faced off against Sheffield United at Bramall Lane earlier today as they looked to earn a good result on their travels in the Premier League. The Hammers made a good start to the contest and got their noses ahead in the 28th minute thanks to Maxwel Cornet’s effort. However, Ben Brereton Diaz equalised for the home team in the 44th minute as the two teams went into the half-time break with a 1-1 scoreline.
The East London club struggled to make another breakthrough but finally managed to get their noses ahead again in the 79th minute via James Ward-Prowse’s penalty. However, the home team struck back thanks to Oli McBurnie’s penalty in injury time. The match ended with David Moyes’ men being held to an entertaining 2-2 draw away from home.

Ward-Prowse performed his defensive duties well and managed to create some inviting chances in the final third. He managed to score via the penalty spot in the 79th minute.

The Spaniard caught the eye at times but failed to register his name on the scoresheet.
CAM: Danny Ings – 8/10
Ings worked hard defensively and was a real menace in the Sheffield half. He did everything but score this evening.
ST: Jarrod Bowen – 6/10
He didn’t shy away from having a go at goal but never looked like he would find the back of the net.
