Everton entertained Aston Villa at Goodison Park earlier today as they looked to secure all three points at home in the Premier League. The Toffees made a solid start to the game and managed to get to the half-time break with a 0-0 scoreline.
Sean Dyche’s men defended their lines well in the second half and managed to grind out a hard-fought 0-0 draw in front of their home fans.
Let’s take a look at how each Everton player performed during the match against the Villans.
GK: Jordan Pickford – 7.5/10
The English keeper made a handful of important saves at the back and secured a well-deserved clean sheet at Goodison Park.
RB: Seamus Coleman – 7.5/10
Coleman gave a good account of himself on the defensive end of the pitch.
CB: James Tarkowski – 7.5/10
He cleared the danger when needed and made one important interception inside his half.
CB: Jarrad Branthwaite – 7/10
Branthwaite was a rock at the back and won a couple of 50-50 aerial duels. He would be quite pleased with the clean sheet.
LB: Vitaliy Mykolenko – 7/10
Mykolenko performed his defensive duties well but offered very little going forward.
CM: Amadou Onana – 7/10
He anchored the midfield with conviction and made one decent chance in the final third.
CM: James Garner – 7.5/10
Garner was a positive influence at both ends of the field.
RW: Jack Harrison – 6/10
He had a couple of bright moments in the opponent’s half but never looked like he would score.
CAM: Abdoulaye Doucoure – 6.5/10
Doucoure did his fair share of defending but lacked quality in the final third.
LW: Arnaut Danjuma – 6/10
He was not shy of having a strike at goal but failed to get his name on the scoresheet.
ST: Dominic Calvert-Lewin – 6/10
Calvert-Lewin was quiet for most of his time on the field.
Substitutes:
ST: Beto – 6/10
His impact on the game was minimal.
LW: Dwight McNeil – 6/10
He failed to get into the flow of the game.
