Manchester United locked horns with Newport County at Rodney Parade earlier this evening as they looked to earn a win on the road in the FA Cup. The Red Devils made a bright start to the game and got their noses ahead in the seventh minute thanks to Bruno Fernandes’ goal. Kobbie Mainoo doubled Man United’s advantage just six minutes later. However, the home team got a goal back in the 36th minute via Bryn Morris’ effort as Man United went into the half-time interval 2-1 up on the scoreline.
Will Evans equalised for Newport just two minutes into the second half. However, Antony restored Man United’s lead in the 68th minute before Rasmus Hojlund killed the game off in injury time. The contest finished with Erik ten Hag’s men securing an impressive 4-2 win away from home.
