Liverpool welcomed Norwich City at Anfield earlier today as they looked to secure a victory at home in the FA Cup. The Reds made a good start to the game and scored the opening goal in the 16th minute when Curtis Jones found the back of the net. However, Norwich equalised just six minutes later thanks to Ben Gibson’s header. Darwin Nunez put Liverpool ahead with a good finish in the 28th minute as Jurgen Klopp‘s men went into the half-time break 2-1 up on the scoreline.
Diogo Jota found the back of the net in the 53rd minute before Virgil Van Dijk killed the game off after the hour mark. Borja Sainz got a goal back for the Canaries in the 69th minute but Ryan Gravenberch put the icing on the cake for Liverpool as he scored as well in injury time. The contest ended with the Merseyside club earning a dominant 5-2 win in the FA Cup.

GK: Alisson Becker – 6/10
The Brazilian keeper made a few solid saves at the back but won’t be happy about conceding twice during the 90 minutes.
RB: Conor Bradley – 8/10
He got stuck in with some solid tackles and made a few excellent chances for his teammates. Bradley has got a couple of assists to show for his efforts.
CB: Ibrahima Konate – 6.5/10
Konate did his best to keep things solid at the back and was replaced in the 54th minute.
CB: Jarell Quansah – 7/10
He put in a solid defensive display inside his half and was good on the ball as well.
LB: Joe Gomez – 6.5/10
Gomez kept a good shape at the back and managed to be a threat at times on the left flank.
CM: James McConnell – 7/10
He produced a matured display at the centre of the park and ended the game with an assist to his name.
CM: Ryan Gravenberch – 8/10
Gravenberch worked hard at both ends of the field and managed to find the back of the net in injury time.
CM: Curtis Jones – 8/10
He was a constant menace in and around the Norwich penalty box and scored the opening goal with a good header.
RW: Cody Gakpo – 6.5/10
Gakpo caused some headaches for the opposition defenders but failed to register a goal.
ST: Diogo Jota – 7.5/10
Jota was a real menace inside the Norwich penalty box and managed to score in the 53rd minute.
LW: Darwin Nunez – 8/10
He showed a few glimpses of what he can do and managed to get his name on the scoresheet with a great finish in the 28th minute.
