Liverpool entertained Chelsea at Anfield earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a victory in front of their home fans in the Premier League. The Reds made a great start to the game and took the lead in the 23rd minute when Diogo Jota found the back of the net. Conor Bradley doubled his team’s advantage in the 39th minute when he scored with a great finish. Jurgen Klopp‘s men went into the half-time break with a 2-0 lead.
Dominik Szoboszlai killed the game off with a good header in the 65th minute before Christopher Nkunku scored a consolation goal for the visitors just six minutes later. Luis Diaz scored Liverpool’s fourth goal in the 79th minute as the Reds cruised to a dominant 4-1 win at home.

Gomez got stuck in with some crunching tackles and made two decent chances in the opponent’s half.
CM: Dominik Szoboszlai – 8/10
He was full of energy and running at the centre of the park and scored a good goal in the second half.
CM: Alexis Mac Allister – 8/10
Mac Allister kept the ball moving with conviction and made one key chance in the final third.
CM: Curtis Jones – 7/10
He caused a few headaches for the opposition defenders but failed to register a goal.
RW: Diogo Jota – 8.5/10
Jota caused all sorts of chaos in and around the Chelsea penalty box and scored the opener with a good finish.
ST: Darwin Nunez – 8/10
Nunez was a real menace in the final third and made unwanted history for being the first player to strike the woodwork four times in a Premier League game.

Diaz looked a constant threat on the left-wing and ended the game with a goal and an assist to his name.
