Real Madrid will face off against Atletico Madrid at the Al-Awwal Park stadium this Wednesday night as they try to secure a good result in the Supercopa de Espana. Los Blancos earned a 3-1 win over Arandina recently which should keep them in high spirits ahead of this game.
Carlo Ancelotti will opt for the 4-4-2 formation and could make some tweaks to his starting XI for this game. Rodrygo, Luka Modric and Toni Kroos will all play from the start of this clash in midweek.
4-4-2 Real Madrid Predicted Lineup To Face Atletico Madrid
Defence
Kepa Arrizabalaga will function in goal for Ancelotti’s side after shipping in one goal in his last league outing. Antonio Rudiger will get a chance to play alongside Eduardo Camavinga at the centre of Real Madrid’s backline as they look to keep the opposition attackers frustrated throughout the 90 minutes.
Dani Carvajal might get a chance to impress at right-back while Fran Garcia fills in on the other flank as the left-back. Both of them will have to pick and choose their moments to join in on the attack.
Nacho will provide cover for the defensive positions on the bench.
Midfield
Toni Kroos and Luka Modric will probably anchor the midfield for Real Madrid as they try to establish their superiority over the opposition at the centre of the park. Jude Bellingham will focus on giving a good account of himself on the left flank while Federico Valverde hopes to catch the eye on the right wing.
Dani Ceballos and Arda Guler will have to be content with a spot on the bench as they wait for their chance to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if needed.
Attack
Rodrygo and Brahim Diaz will lead the charge for Los Blancos on the offensive end of the field. Both of them need to combine well so that they can cause all sorts of chaos in and around the Atletico Madrid penalty area.
Joselu will be available for selection on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the latter stages if Real Madrid are in need of a goal by then.
