West Ham United will face off against Bristol City at Ashton Gate this Tuesday night as they look to secure a win on the road in the FA Cup. The two teams played out a 1-1 draw in their last meeting, so they would be eager to go all out in search of the victory in midweek.
David Moyes will set his men up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to make a few changes to his first XI for this game. Danny Ings will probably get a chance to lead the line for the Hammers up top.
4-2-3-1 West Ham United Predicted Lineup To Face Bristol City
Defence
Lukasz Fabianski will feature in between the sticks for the East London club after shipping in one goal in his last appearance. Kurt Zouma will play alongside Angelo Ogbonna at the centre of the West Ham backline as they try to keep things solid at the back during the 90 minutes.
Ben Johnson could get a chance to impress as the right-back while Emerson Palmieri hopes to catch the eye on the other flank as the left-back. Both of them will get the freedom to get forward and express themselves in the opponent’s half.
Vladimir Coufal will offer cover for the right-back position on the bench.
Midfield
Tomas Soucek and Edson Alvarez will anchor the midfield for the Hammers as they try to establish their superiority over the opposition at the centre of the park. The talented trio of Pablo Fornals, James Ward-Prowse and Said Benrahma will play just ahead of them as part of Moyes’ attack. All three of them need to combine well if they want to cause problems for the Bristol defenders in midweek.
Conor Coventry will be available for selection on the bench as he waits for his chance to make an impact in the second half if needed.
Attack
Danny Ings will lead the charge for West Ham in the final third. He has to find a way to threaten the opponent’s goal this Tuesday night.
However, Jarrod Bowen is unlikely to recover in time from his ankle injury.
Divin Mubama will be named on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the latter stages if required.
