West Ham United will welcome Bournemouth at the London Stadium this Thursday night as they try to secure a victory in front of their home fans. The Hammers were held to a 2-2 draw by Sheffield United recently, so they would be eager to secure all three points at home in the Premier League this week.
David Moyes will opt for the 4-2-3-1 formation and could make a handful of changes to his starting XI for this game. Kalvin Phillips, Mohammed Kudus and Edson Alvarez will play from the start of this contest.
4-2-3-1 West Ham United Predicted Lineup To Face Bournemouth
Defence
Alphonso Areola will operate in goal for the East London club after conceding two goals in his last appearance. Kurt Zouma will function alongside Konstantinos Mavropanos at the centre of the West Ham backline as they try to keep the opposition at bay during the 90 minutes.
Ben Johnson will fill in as the right-back while Emerson Palmieri looks to catch the eye on the other side as the left-back. Moyes will ask both of them to perform their defensive duties well and offer some decent support to the front players.
Aaron Cresswell will provide cover for the defensive positions on the bench.
Midfield
Kalvin Phillips and Edson Alvarez will play as the holding midfielders as they look to make life tough for the Bournemouth players at the centre of the park. The gifted trio of James Ward-Prowse, Tomas Soucek and Mohammed Kudus will operate just ahead of them as part of the West Ham attack. All three of them need to move the ball well if they want to create enough chances for the Hammers to win this contest.
Pablo Fornals will have to be content with a spot on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the second half if required.
Attack
Jarrod Bowen will spearhead Moyes’ attack up top. He would be eager to put his pace to good use and cause a lot of chaos inside the Bournemouth penalty area throughout the game.
Michail Antonio is unlikely to recover in time for this clash.
