Aston Villa will welcome Arsenal at Villa Park this Saturday evening as they hope to secure another victory at home in the Premier League. The Villans secured an impressive 1-0 over Manchester City midweek which should give them a lot of confidence going into this game.
Unai Emery will opt for the 4-4-1-1 formation once again and could keep changes to a minimum for this game. Ollie Watkins is expected to lead the line for the West Midfields club in the attacking end of the field.
4-4-1-1 Aston Villa Predicted Lineup To Face Arsenal
Defence
Emiliano Martinez will feature in goal for Aston Villa after securing a clean sheet in his last appearance in the Premier League. Diego Carlos will play alongside Pau Torres as they try to keep the Arsenal attackers frustrated this weekend.
Ezri Konsa will once again fill in as the right-back while Lucas Digne hopes to catch the eye on the other side as the left-back. Both of them need to be at their best if Aston Villa are to stand a chance of securing another clean sheet in this home game.
Matty Cash and Alex Moreno will offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench.
Midfield
Douglas Luiz and Boubacar Kamara will operate as the holding midfielders as they focus on making life tough for the opposition in the middle of the park. John McGinn will be a nailed-on starter on the left wing while Leon Bailey hopes to put his pace to good use on the right flank.
Youri Tielemans will get the freedom to express himself as the free-flowing, attacking midfielder for Emery’s side. He would be given the burden to create some decent chances for the Villans in the final third.
Moussa Diaby will be named on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the final quarter of the game if the Midlands club are in need of a goal by then.
Attack
Ollie Watkins will spearhead Aston Villa’s attack on the offensive end of the field. He would be eager to find the back of the net versus the Gunners this weekend.
Jhon Duran will be available for selection on the bench as he waits for his chance to influence the game in the second half if required.
