Everton will face off against Tottenham Hotspur at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this Saturday as they look to pick up a victory on the road in the Premier League. The Toffees suffered a penalty shootout loss against Fulham recently, so they would be eager to bounce back with a win this weekend.
Sean Dyche will set his team up in a 4-4-1-1 formation and could keep changes to a minimum for this game. Hence, we can once again expect to see Dominic Calvert-Lewin lead the line for the Merseyside club in the final third.
4-4-1-1 Everton Predicted Lineup To Face Tottenham Hotspur
Defence
Jordan Pickford will operate in between the sticks for the Toffees after conceding one goal in normal time against Fulham in midweek. Michael Keane will function alongside James Tarkowski at the heart of the Everton backline as they look to maintain a solid defensive shape at the back during the 90 minutes.
Jarrad Branthwaite will try to catch the eye as the left-back while Nathan Patterson hopes to impress on the other flank as the right-back. Both of them will have to perform their defensive duties well if the Toffees are to restrict the opposition from creating problems from the wide areas.
Ben White will be named on the bench as he provides cover for the defensive positions.
Midfield
Amadou Onana will anchor the midfield alongside Idrissa Gueye as they look to make life difficult for Tottenham at the centre of the park. Dwight McNeil would try to make a difference from the left wing while Jack Harrison looks to put in a productive performance on the right flank.
James Garner will get the license to operate in the number ten position. He would have to carry some of the creative burden for the Toffees in the final third.
Arnaut Danjuma will have to be content with a spot on the bench as he waits for his chance to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if required.
Attack
Dominic Calvert-Lewin will spearhead Everton’s attack in the final third. He has to find a way to link up play well with others around him in the opponent’s half if he wants to pose a threat on the counter.
Beto will have to settle for a place on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the latter stages if Everton are in need of a goal by then.
