Everton faced off against Nottingham Forest at the City Ground earlier this evening as they hoped to secure a good result on the road in the Premier League. The Toffees made a solid start to the game but were held to a scoreless draw at the half-time interval.
Dwight McNeil gave Everton the lead with an excellent finish in the 67th minute as Sean Dyche’s men cruised to a narrow 1-0 victory away from home.

The English keeper made a couple of solid saves at the back and earned an important clean sheet on the road.
RB: Ashley Young – 7/10
He performed his defensive duties well but offered very little going forward.
CB: James Tarkowski – 8/10
Tarkowski made a lot of crucial clearances at the back and would be quite pleased with the clean sheet.
CB: Jarrad Branthwaite – 7/10
He was a rock at the back and won his fair share of aerial duels as well.
LB: Vitaliy Mykolenko – 7/10
Mykolenko performed his defensive duties well and made one decent run with the ball.
RM: Jack Harrison – 6/10
He worked hard defensively but lacked quality in the Nottingham half.
CM: James Garner – 7.5/10
He anchored the midfield really well and made a couple of decent runs with the ball.
CM: Idrissa Gueye – 7/10
Gueye offered adequate protection for his teammates at the back and made one decent chance going forward.
LM: Dwight McNeil – 7/10
He was not shy of having a strike at goal and managed to score the only goal of the game in the 67th minute.
CAM: Abdoulaye Doucoure – 6.5/10
Doucoure worked his socks off and made one good chance in the opponent’s half.
ST: Beto – 6.5/10
Beto caused a few headaches for the Nottingham defenders but there was no goal for him.
