Liverpool entertained Arsenal at Anfield earlier this evening as they hoped to secure a win at home in the Premier League. The Reds made a slow start to the game and conceded the opening goal in the fourth minute when Gabriel found the back of the net. However, Mohamed Salah equalised for the home team with an emphatic finish in the 29th minute. Both teams went into the half-time break with a 1-1 scoreline.
Jurgen Klopp’s men created a lot of chances in the second half but were lackluster in the final third. The Merseyside club ended up settling for a 1-1 draw in front of their home fans.
Let’s take a look at how each Liverpool player fared during the clash against the Gunners.

He made one solid save at the back but couldn’t do much about Gabriel’s opening goal.
RB: Trent Alexander-Arnold – 7/10
Alexander-Arnold performed his defensive duties well and managed to create some good chances going forward. He ended the game with an assist to his name but would be disappointed after squandering a glorious chance to score in the second half.
CB: Ibrahima Konate – 7/10
The French talent bossed the game inside his half and was good on the ball.
CB: Virgil Van Dijk – 6.5/10
He didn’t do much wrong on the defensive third of the pitch and was strong in the air.
LB: Kostas Tsimikas – 6/10
He made an energetic start to the game but had to be replaced in the 34th minute after he collided with his manager.
CM: Dominik Szoboszlai – 7/10
Szoboszlai ran his socks off at the centre of the park but failed to make a difference in the final third.
CM: Wataru Endo – 6.5/10
He anchored the midfield well and was accurate with his passing.
CM: Curtis Jones – 6.5/10
Jones kept the ball moving quite well and engineered one good chance in the final third.
RW: Mohamed Salah – 7.5/10
The Egypt international was a constant menace in the opponent’s half and managed to equalise for the Reds with a great strike in the 29th minute.
ST: Cody Gakpo – 6.5/10
Gakpo made two key chances for others around him but failed to threaten the Arsenal goal.
LW: Luis Diaz – 6/10
He had some bright moments in the game but picked up an injury and had to be substituted in the 67th minute.

LB: Joe Gomez – 7/10
He did well at left-back and had a couple of lively moments in the final third.
LW: Darwin Nunez – 6/10
His impact on the game was minimal.
CM: Ryan Gravenberch – 6/10
