Barcelona will lock horns with Antwerp at the Bosuilstadion Stadium this Wednesday night as they look to secure a positive result on their travels in the UEFA Champions League. The Catalan club suffered a poor 4-2 loss against Girona recently, so they would be eager to get back to winning ways in midweek.
Xavi will once again set his men up in a 4-3-3 formation and could name a strong team for this clash. Both Oriol Romeu and Alejandro Balde are expected to play from the start of this contest this week.
4-3-3 Barcelona Predicted Lineup To Face Antwerp
Defence
Inaki Pena will feature in goal for Barcelona after shipping in four goals in his last league outing. Jules Kounde will function alongside Ronald Araujo at the centre of Xavi’s defence as they look to keep things solid at the back throughout the game.
Joao Cancelo will get a chance to catch the eye as the right-back while Alejandro Balde looks to put in a good display as the left-back. Both of them would be keen on getting forward and joining in on the attack at every chance they get.
Andreas Christensen will be named on the bench as he offers cover for the defensive positions.
Midfield
Fermin Lopez, Oriol Romeu and Ilkay Gundogan would make up Xavi’s midfield as they try to dominate the ball in the middle of the park and create some clear-cut chances for Barca to win this clash. Gundogan managed to score against Girona and would be looking to do the same in this midweek game.
Sergio Roberto will have to be content with a place on the bench as he awaits his chance to influence the game in the second half if required.
Attack
Joao Felix will try to catch the eye on the left wing while Lamine Yamal looks to impress on the right flank. Robert Lewandowski will once again lead the charge for the Catalan giants on the offensive end of the field.
Ferran Torres will be available for selection on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the latter stages of the game if Xavi’s team are in need of a goal by then.
