Arsenal welcomed West Ham United at the Emirates Stadium earlier tonight as they looked to earn a win in the London derby. The Gunners made a sloppy start to the game as they conceded the opening goal in the 13th minute when Tomas Soucek found the back of the net for the visitors. Mikel Arteta’s men failed to mount a comeback and went into the half-time break 1-0 down on the scoreline.
Konstantinos Mavropanos doubled West Ham’s advantage with a great header in the 55th minute. The home team were lackluster in the final third and crashed to a 2-0 defeat at the Emirates.
Let’s take a look at how each Arsenal player fared during the clash against the Hammers.

Raya couldn’t do much about either of West Ham’s goals tonight. However, he saved a penalty in the dying embers of the contest.
RB: Ben White – 6.5/10
He came back to defend when he could and made one good chance in the final third.
CB: William Saliba – 6.5/10
Saliba failed to keep things solid at the back and was good on the ball.
CB: Gabriel – 7/10
He performed his defensive duties well but it was not enough tonight.
LB: Oleksandr Zinchenko – 6/10
He was far from convincing at the back but made two good chances going forward.
CM: Martin Odegaard – 7/10
Odegaard made a lot of key chances for his teammates and was accurate with his passing.
CM: Declan Rice – 6.5/10
The English midfield ace managed to impress in both halves but gave away a cheap penalty which went unpunished late in the game.
CM: Leandro Trossard – 6/10
He was not shy of having a strike at goal but failed to find the back of the net.
RW: Bukayo Saka – 7/10
Saka was a constant menace in the final third but there was no goal for him.
ST: Gabriel Jesus – 6.5/10
He worked hard and engineered some good openings for others around him. However, Jesus failed to register a goal.
LW: Gabriel Martinelli – 6.5/10
Martinelli caught the eye at times but didn’t do enough to get his name on the scoresheet.
Substitutes:
ST: Eddie Nketiah – 6/10
His impact on the game was minimal.
RW: Reiss Nelson – 6/10
Nelson hardly got into the flow of the game.
