Everton entertained Chelsea at Goodison Park earlier today as they hoped to secure a good result in front of their home fans in the Premier League. The Toffees made a solid start to the game but were held to a scoreless draw at the half-time interval.
The Merseyside club began the second half well and took the lead in the 54th minute when Abdoulaye Doucoure found the back of the net. Lewis Dobbin ended up sealing the win for Everton when he scored in injury time. The contest ended with Sean Dyche’s men earning an impressive 2-0 win at home.
