Jurgen Klopp known for his quirky take on several situations seemingly mocked Premier League rivals Chelsea over their summer transfer market debacle. The Liverpool manager who was attending an Anfield Road Stand Test Event took a humorous dig at Chelsea. Both Chelsea and Liverpool locked horns for the signature of Southampton’s Lavia and Moises Caicedo from Brighton. However, Chelsea came on top in both the transfer battles and bought the players in a combined price of £173 Million. However, Caicedo who has played 14 games hasn’t been able to replicate his form and Lavia hasn’t even debuted for Chelsea after suffering an injury and is out for an indefinite period.
Jurgen Klopp who was speaking to Anfield Outfit’s Supporters stated “The summer we had, we had a few strange things happen in the transfer market but here, between us, I can say, ‘My god were we lucky, eh?’. We didn’t know that at that moment and it didn’t feel like it at that moment, but year, I’m really happy that it worked out, but you never know before.” He later joked taking a dig at Chelsea,” We obviously realized that other Central Defensive Midfielders don’t want to join Liverpool, you see what happens and we found Endo. He’s an exceptional player.”
Chelsea and Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool to Lock Horns Again in Winter Transfer?
Liverpool and Chelsea might again go head-to-head in the Winter transfer video. Two teams have been monitoring the situation of Ronald Araujo. The Barcelona defender’s future seems uncertain at his current club. Barcelona has not shown any inclination to sell the center back, however, a sizeable offer can make them change their mind. Araujo has been nothing short of sensational for Barcelona and has bolstered the defense for Barcelona over the years. However, the well-known financial constraints of the Spanish side might see them selling Araujo to either of the Premier League sides.
