Chelsea faced off against Everton at Goodison park earlier today as they focused on securing all three points on the road. The Blues made a decent start to the game and managed to get to the half-time interval with a goalless scoreline.
Mauricio Pochettino’s men conceded the opening goal in the 54th minute when Abdoulaye Doucoure got his name on the scoresheet. Lewis Dobbin killed the game off in injury time as the West London club crashed to a poor 2-0 loss away from home.
Let’s take a look at how each Chelsea player performed during the contest against the Toffees.
GK: Robert Sanchez – 6.5/10
Sanchez made some solid stops at the back but won’t be pleased after conceding so early in the second half. He was taken off late in the game.
RB: Reece James – 6/10
James made a solid start to the game but could only last 26 minutes.
CB: Axel Disasi – 6.5/10
He did his fair share of defending and was good on the ball.
CB: Benoit Badiashile – 6.5/10
The Frenchman earned the ball back twice and cleared his lines when needed. However, it was not enough today.
LB: Marc Cucurella – 7/10
The Spanish full-back was a positive influence at both ends of the field.
CM: Enzo Fernandez – 6.5/10
He was an energetic presence in both halves but has got nothing to show for his efforts.
CM: Moises Caicedo – 6/10
Caicedo offered very little protection for his teammates at the back and put in a lackluster display at the centre of the park.
LM: Mykhailo Mudryk – 7/10
Mydryk made a handful of driving runs with the ball and managed to orchestrate some promising chances for others around him.
CAM: Conor Gallagher – 7/10
He came back to defend when he could and was lively in the Everton half.
RM: Cole Palmer – 6.5/10
Palmer caused some problems for the opposition defenders but didn’t do enough to find the back of the net.
ST: Armando Broja – 6/10
Broja was a quiet presence in the final third and was replaced in the 66th minute.
Substitutes:
CB: Levi Colwill – 6.5/10
He did his fair share of defending.
LW: Raheem Sterling – 6/10
His impact on the game was minimal.
ST: Nicolas Jackson – 6/10
Jackson offered very little in the final third.
LM: Ian Maatsen – N/A
