Newcastle United clashed heads with Everton at Goodison Park earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a win on the road in the Premier League. The Magpies were solid in the first half and managed to get to the half-time break with a goalless scoreline.
Eddie Howe’s men ended up conceding the opening goal in the 79th minute when Dwight McNeil found the back of the net. Abdoulaye Doucoure doubled Everton’s advantage in the 86th minute before Beto scored again for the home side in injury time. The match finished with Newcastle suffering a dismal 3-0 loss away from home.

He made a lot of crucial clearances inside his half but it was not enough tonight.

Schar made his fair share of clearances as well on the defensive third of the pitch but failed to keep the Everton attackers quiet.

Livramento caught the eye at times in both halves.
CM: Lewis Miley – 7/10
The English talent was a lively presence on the ball.
CM: Bruno Guimaraes – 6/10
He made a few solid tackles but offered very little in the final third.
CM: Joelinton – 6.5/10
Joelinton completed two decent dribbles and managed to engineer some promising chances in the opponent’s half.
RW: Miguel Almiron – 6/10
He managed to catch the eye at times but was lackluster in the final third.
ST: Alexander Isak – 6/10
Isak was quiet for most of the game and didn’t do enough to register a goal.

He had a few strikes at goal but failed to get his name on the scoresheet.
