Aston Villa welcomed Manchester City at Villa Park earlier tonight as they hoped to earn a win at home in the Premier League. The Villans made a solid start to the game but were held to a scoreless draw at the half-time interval.

Leon Bailey finally broke the deadlock with a deflected effort in the 74th minute. Unai Emery’s men hung on to their narrow advantage and secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory at Villa Park.

The French full-back kept things tidy at the back and made one key chance from the left wing.

RW: Leon Bailey – 8/10

Bailey’s pace caused a lot of headaches for the Man City defenders. He scored the winning goal with a deflected strike in the 74th minute.

He anchored the midfield well and made some decent chances for his teammates to score.
