Barcelona welcomed Girona at the Nou Camp earlier tonight as they focused on securing all three points at home in La Liga. The Catalan club made a slow start to the game and conceded the opening goal in the 12th minute when Artem Dovbyk found the back of the net. However, Robert Lewandowski equalised for Barca just seven minutes later. The visitors grabbed the lead once again thanks to Miguel Gutierrez’s effort in the 40th minute. Xavi’s men went into the half-time break 2-1 down on the scoreline.
Valery Fernandez put some daylight between the two sides when he scored for Girona in the 80th minute. Ilkay Gundogan got a goal back for Barca in injury-time.
