Manchester City entertained Sheffield United at the Etihad Stadium earlier today as they hoped to secure a victory at home in the Premier League. Pep Guardiola‘s men made a good start to the game and got their noses ahead in the 14th minute thanks to Rodri’s effort. Man City controlled the game well and cruised to a 1-0 lead at the half-time interval.
Julian Alvarez doubled his team’s advantage in the 61st minute as the Mancunian club cruised to an impressive 2-0 win in front of their home fans.

The Brazilian keeper made two good saves at the back and earned a solid clean sheet at the Etihad.

He didn’t do much wrong inside his half and was tidy with his passing.

Ake cleared the danger on the defensive end of the pitch and was a threat at the other end as well.

Gvardiol performed his defensive duties well but didn’t offer much going forward.

He anchored the midfield well but struggled to make a difference for Man City in the opponent’s half.

The Spaniard was a real menace in the final third and was responsible for scoring the opener in the 14th minute.
RW: Bernardo Silva – 7/10
He made a few promising chances for his teammates but failed to find the back of the net.
CAM: Phil Foden – 8.5/10
Foden caused all sorts of chaos in and around the Sheffield penalty box and has got a couple of assists to show for his efforts.
LW: Jack Grealish – 6.5/10
He made two key chances in the final third but never looked like he would score.
ST: Julian Alvarez – 7.5/10
Alvarez led the line well for Man City and managed to get his name on the scoresheet just after the hour mark.
