Chelsea entertained Brighton and Hove Albion at Stamford Bridge earlier this afternoon as they hoped to secure a good result at home in the Premier League. The Blues made a decent start to the game and scored the opening goal in the 17th minute when Enzo Fenandez’s effort. Levi Colwill doubled Chelsea’s advantage just four minutes later. However, Brighton responded positively and got a goal back thanks to Facundo Buonanotte’s finish. Conor Gallagher was sent off by the referee in the 45th minute as Chelsea went into the half-time break 2-1 up on the scoreline.
Fernandez scored again for the Blues from the penalty spot in the 65th minute. Joao Pedro got his name on the scoresheet in injury time as the contest finished with Mauricio Pochettino’s men earning a hard-fought 3-2 win in front of their home fans.

He made a lot of important saves at the back but still conceded two goals today.

Silva made a lot of crucial clearances inside his half and was tidy with his passing. He also won a few 50-50 aerial duels.

He was a rock at the back and was a good presence on the ball. Badiashile ended the game with an assist to his name.
LB: Levi Colwill – 7.5/10
Colwill defended his penalty box well and was a threat going forward. He deserves credit for doubling Chelsea’s lead in the 21st minute.
CM: Moises Caicedo – 6.5/10
He anchored the midfield with conviction but struggled to influence the game in the Brighton half.
CM: Enzo Fernandez – 8/10
Fernandez was a positive influence at both ends of the pitch and scored a brace which made the difference today.
RW: Raheem Sterling – 6/10
He was quiet for most of the game and was replaced in the 65th minute.
CAM: Conor Gallagher – 5/10
Gallagher let his teammates down by getting sent off in the 45th minute.

He worked hard and made two promising runs with the ball.
