In a recent report, Leeds Live revealed that Everton want to sign on-loan winger Jack Harrison permanently from Leeds United next year. It is believed that the Toffees are eager to get the English talent on board permanently in 2024.
Harrison’s Impressive Loan Spell At Merseyside
The 27-year-old has put in a run of impressive displays on the right side of Sean Dyche’s attack during this campaign. Harrison has done well to score one goal and pick up three assists in 14 matches for the Toffees this season in various competitions.
The English wide player has given a good account of himself in the final third by averaging 1.0 shots, 1.2 key passes and 1.1 dribbles per 90 minutes in the Premier League. However, he has lacked quality when distributing the ball in the opponent’s half based on his pass success rate of 68.3% in the English first division (stats via whoscored).
However, his loan spell at Goodison Park will end next summer. Hence, Sean Dyche should consider making his loan stay permanent this January or at the end of this campaign.
Everton Want To Sign Harrison Permanently: Good Move For Both Parties?
Harrison is a decent dribbler with the ball at his feet and can make some eye-catching runs with the ball out in the wide areas. He can shoot the ball with venom from long range and has got the vision to orchestrate some promising chances for others around him in the final third.
The English footballer is primarily a right-winger but can also fill in as a left-sided wide player if told to do so by his manager. At the moment, he is currently amongst the first names in Dyche’s teamsheet at Goodison Park.
Harrison has already proven himself to be a reliable performer in English football. Therefore, it is only logical for Everton to try and make his loan deal permanent next year. Harrison is good enough to help the Toffees compete for a top-half finish in the Premier League. At 27, he is about to enter his prime soon. Hence, signing him permanently will be a good move for both the player and the Merseyside club as long as Dyche can get him for a fair price.
