Everton Starlet Is On The Radar Of Top Premier League Clubs: Can Dyche Afford To Let Him Go?

In a recent report, talkSPORT revealed that Everton starlet Jarrod Branthwaite is on the radar of top Premier League clubs ahead of the winter transfer window. It has been stated that Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United are all hoping to land the talented defender from the Toffees next year.

Branthwaite’s Solid Campaign At Goodison Park

The 21-year-old has been an important member of Sean Dyche’s squad this season and has managed to put in a handful of influential displays on the defensive third of the pitch. Branthwaite has featured in 14 matches for the Toffees during this campaign across various competitions.

The English talent has been a reliable presence at the heart of Dyche’s defence as he is averaging 2.1 tackles, 1.8 interceptions and 5.1 clearances per 90 minutes in the Premier League. He has even been accurate when distributing possession from inside his half after completing 78.3% of his attempted passes in the English first division (stats via whoscored).

Branthwaite is under contract at Goodison Park until the summer of 2027. Hence, Dyche is under no immediate pressure to cash in on him next year.

Can Everton Boss Sean Dyche Afford To Let Branthwaite Go?

Branthwaite has proven himself to be a consistent performer at the centre of Everton’s defence this season. He is a solid tackler of the ball and can read the danger well to make some timely interceptions for his team inside his half.

The English sensation doesn’t hesitate to clear the danger when needed and can play his way out from the back. He can also use his strong 1.95m frame to dominate the opposition attackers in the air.

At the moment, Branthwaite is one of the first names in Sean Dyche‘s teamsheet at Everton. Thus, the Toffees simply cannot afford to let him go when the transfer window reopens next year.
