Emerson Gets 8.5, Vicario With 8 | Tottenham Hotspur Players Rated In Hard-Fought Victory Vs Everton

Tottenham Hotspur entertained Everton at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium earlier today as they hoped to secure maximum points at home in the Premier League. Richarlison opened the goal-scoring for Spurs in the ninth minute before Heung-min Son doubled their advantage just nine minutes later. Angelos Postecoglu’s men went into the half-time break 2-0 up on the scoreline.

Andre Gomes managed to get a goal back for Everton with a stunning strike in the 82nd minute. However, the North London giants hung on to their narrow lead and secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory in front of their home supporters.

LB: Emerson Royal – 8.5/10

He gave a good account of himself on the defensive third of the pitch and had a couple of bright moments in the opponent’s half.

CM: Pape Matar Sarr – 7/10

Sarr was a good presence on the ball and did well to last 72 minutes.

CM: Oliver Skipp – 6.5/10

He did his fair share of defending but was underwhelming in the final third.

RW: Ben Johnson – 7.5/10

Johnson made a few key chances for others around him and has got an assist to show for his efforts.

CAM: Dejan Kulusevski – 6.5/10

He made a few promising chances for his teammates but failed to make a difference in the final third.

Son caused some headaches for the Everton defenders and managed to double his team’s lead in the 18th minute.

He gave Tottenham the lead with a great finish but was quiet for the remainder of the contest.
