Newcastle United will clash heads with Everton at Goodison Park this Thursday night as they look to secure a victory on the road in the Premier League. The Magpies managed to earn a narrow 1-0 win over Manchester United recently which would keep them in good spirits ahead of this game.
Eddie Howe will set his team up in a 4-3-3 formation and could be forced to make some changes to his first XI for this clash. Martin Dubravka could get a chance to play from the start as Nick Pope is unlikely to recover in time for this game.
4-3-3 Newcastle United Predicted Lineup To Face Everton
Defence
Martin Dubravka will function in goal for the Magpies in the injury absence of Nick Pope. Jamaal Lascelles will resume his defensive partnership with Fabian Schar at the heart of the Newcastle backline as they look to keep the opposition at bay during the 90 minutes.
Kieran Trippier will be a nailed-on starter as the right-back while Tino Livramento hopes to impress on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will get the freedom to express themselves in the opponent’s half.
Paul Dummett will offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench.
Midfield
Joelinton, Bruno Guimaraes and Lewis Miley will make up Newcastle’s midfield as they focus on dominating the ball at the centre of the park and engineering enough chances for their teammates in the final third.
Matt Ritchie will have to be content with a spot on the bench as he waits for his chance to make an impact in the second half if Howe opts to call upon his services.
Attack
Anthony Gordon will hope to impress as the left-sided wide player if he can recover in time for this game while Miguel Almiron looks to put in a good display on the right flank. Alexander Isak will lead the charge for the Tyneside club on the offensive end of the field. He would have to carry most of the goal-scoring workload for the Magpies up top.
Lewis Hall will be available for selection on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the latter stages if required.
