Manchester City locked horns with Crvena Zvezda at the Rajko Mitic Stadium earlier this evening as they hoped to secure a good result on the road in the UEFA Champions League. Man City made a quick start to the game and got their noses ahead in the 19th minute thanks to Micah Hamilton’s goal. Pep Guardiola‘s men went into the half-time break 1-0 up on the scoreline.
Oscar Bobb doubled his team’s advantage in the 62nd minute but Hwang In-beom got a goal back for the home team just 14 minutes later. Kalvin Phillips killed the game off from the penalty spot in the 85th minute. Aleksandar Katai grabbed a late consolation goal for Crvena Zvezda in injury time as Man City earned a hard-fought 3-2 win away from home.
