Tottenham Hotspur will entertain West Ham United at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this Thursday night as they try to secure maximum points in the London derby. Spurs managed to earn a hard-fought 3-3 draw away at Manchester City recently which would give them some much-needed confidence ahead of this game in midweek.
Angelos Postecoglu will set his team up in a 4-3-3 formation and could make a few changes to his first team for this game. Both Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Cristian Romero will get a chance to play from the start of this contest.
4-3-3 Tottenham Hotspur Predicted Lineup To Face West Ham United
Defence
Guglielmo Vicario will try to impress as Tottenham’s primary goalkeeper after he conceded three goals in his last league outing. Ben Davies will look to put in a solid display alongside Cristian Romero as they try to keep things solid on the defensive third of the pitch.
Pedro Porro will fill in as the right-back while Destiny Udogie hopes to prove his worth on the other flank as the left-back. Both of them would have to keep things tidy at the back if Tottenham are to limit the chances that West Ham create from the wide areas.
Emerson Royal will offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench.
Midfield
Giovani Lo Celso, Yves Bissouma and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg will make up Postecoglu’s midfield. Their main job would be to retain possession well and create some clear-cut chances in the opponent’s half.
Oliver Skipp will have to be content with a spot on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the latter stages if required.
Attack
Brennan Johnson will get the nod to catch the eye on the left wing while Dejan Kulusevski hopes to put in a productive display as the right-sided wide player. Heung-min Son will spearhead Tottenham’s attack in the final third. He managed to score against Man City which should keep him in high spirits ahead of this London derby.
Richarlison will be available for selection on the bench as he waits for his chance to shine in the final quarter of the game if Spurs are in need of a goal by then.
