Liverpool will entertain Newcastle United at Anfield this Monday night as they try to secure all three points at home in the Premier League. The Reds managed to secure a solid 2-0 win over Newcastle United recently which should give them a ton of confidence ahead of this game.
Jurgen Klopp will set his players up in a 4-3-3 formation and is expected to make some changes to his starting XI for this game. Ibrahima Konate, Curtis Jones and Dominik Szoboszlai could all play from the start of this contest.
4-3-3 Liverpool Predicted Lineup To Face Newcastle United
Defence
Alisson Becker will feature in between the sticks for the Reds after securing a clean sheet in his last league outing. Ibrahima Konate will resume his defensive partnership with Virgil Van Dijk at the heart of Klopp’s defence as they try to keep the opposition attackers at bay during the game.
Trent Alexander-Arnold will function as the right-back while Joe Gomez hopes to give a good account of himself on the other flank as the left-back. Both of them will get the license to get forward and join in on the attack at every chance they get.
Jarell Quansah will have to settle for a spot on the bench as he provides cover for the defensive positions.
Midfield
Curtis Jones, Wataru Endo and Dominik Szoboszlai will make up Liverpool’s midfield as they focus on dominating possession at the centre of the park and engineering some clear-cut chances in the final third.
Harvey Elliott and Ryan Gravenberch will have to settle for a spot on the bench as they wait for their opportunity to influence the game in the second half if required.
Attack
Cody Gakpo could get another chance to impress as the left-winger while Mohamed Salah hopes to weave his magic from the right flank. Darwin Nunez will spearhead Klopp’s attack down the middle. The Uruguay international would be eager to find the back of the net this Monday night after his goal-scoring performance against Burnley recently.
Diogo Jota will be named on the bench and might come on in the latter stages of the game if Klopp opts to call upon his services.
