Arsenal will entertain West Ham United at the Emirates Stadium this Thursday night as they hope to secure all three points in the Premier League. The Gunners managed to secure a hard-fought 1-1 draw away at Liverpool recently, so they would be eager to return to winning ways in midweek.
Mikel Arteta will opt for the 4-3-3 formation once again and could make one tweak to his first XI for this London derby. Leandro Trossard will get a chance to play from the start of this contest as Kai Havertz will be sidelined due to suspension.
4-3-3 Arsenal Predicted Lineup To Face West Ham United
Defence
David Raya will function in goal for the Gunners after conceding one goal in his last league appearance. William Saliba will play alongside Gabriel at the centre of the Arsenal defence as they look to keep things solid at the back during the 90 minutes.
Ben White will keep his spot at right-back while Oleksandr Zinchenko hopes to prove his worth on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will get the license to get forward and express themselves in the West Ham half at every chance they get.
Jakub Kiwior will be available for selection on the bench as he offers cover for the defensive positions. However, Takehiro Tomiyasu remains out of action because of injury.
Midfield
Leandro Trossard, Declan Rice and Martin Odegaard will make up Arteta’s midfield as they focus on winning the 50-50 battles at the centre of the park. They will also try to create some inviting chances for their teammates in the final third.
Mohamed Elneny will be named on the bench as he waits for his chance to make an impact in the second half if needed.
Attack
Gabriel Martinelli will try to put his pace to good use on the left flank while Bukayo Saka hopes to catch the eye as the right-sided wide player. Gabriel Jesus will spearhead Arteta’s attack in the final third.
Eddie Nketiah will have to settle for a spot on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the latter stages of this derby if Arsenal are in need of a goal by then.
