West Ham United will clash heads with Tottenham Hotspur at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this Thursday night as they try to secure all three points on the road in the Premier League. The Hammers were held to a 1-1 draw by Crystal Palace recently, so they would be keen on returning to winning ways in midweek.
David Moyes will probably opt for the 4-2-3-1 formation and could make one tweak to his first XI for this game. Kurt Zouma is expected to play from the start of this clash while Konstantinos Mavropanos makes way for him and drops to the bench.
4-2-3-1 West Ham United Predicted Lineup To Face Tottenham Hotspur
Defence
Alphonso Areola will play in goal for the East London club after shipping in one goal in his last league appearance. Kurt Zouma will look to impress alongside Nayef Aguerd at the centre of the West Ham backline as they focus on defending their penalty box well throughout the 90 minutes.
Vladimir Coufal will hope to catch the eye as the right-back while Emerson Palmieri fills in on the other side as the left-back. Both of them need to be at the top of their game if the Hammers are to come out on top this week.
Konstantinos Mavropanos will provide cover for the centre-half positions on the bench.
Midfield
James Ward-Prowse and Edson Alvarez will function as the holding midfielders as they try to win the 50-50 battles at the centre of the park. The gifted trio of Lucas Paqueta, Tomas Soucek and Mohammed Kudus will feature just ahead of them as part of Moyes’ attack.
Pablo Fornals and Said Benrahma will have to settle for a spot on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if needed.
Attack
Jarrod Bowen will lead the charge for West Ham in the final third. He would have to find a way to threaten the Tottenham goal during the 90 minutes.
