Arsenal will welcome Sevilla at the Emirates Stadium this Wednesday night as they try to secure a good result on their travels in the UEFA Champions League. The Gunners suffered a 1-0 loss at the hands of Newcastle United recently, so they would be keen on bouncing back with a win against the Andalusian outfit in midweek.
Mikel Arteta will set his players up in a 4-3-3 formation and is expected to name a strong starting XI for this Champions League game. Leandro Trossard will spearhead Arsenal’s attack up top.
4-3-3 Arsenal Predicted Lineup To Face Sevilla
Defence
David Raya will function in goal for the North London club after conceding one goal in his last outing. Gabriel will play alongside William Saliba at the centre of Arsenal’s defence as they focus on keeping a clean sheet at home this week.
Ben White will try to put in a solid display as the right-back while Oleksandr Zinchenko looks to catch the eye on the other side as the left-back. Arteta would ask both of them to get forward and express themselves in the Sevilla half.
Takehiro Tomiyasu will drop to the bench as he provides cover for the defensive positions.
Midfield
Declan Rice, Jorginho and Fabio Vieira will make up Arsenal’s midfield as they look to dominate the ball at the centre of the park and create some inviting chances for their teammates on the offensive end of the pitch.
Kai Havertz and Jorginho will be named on the bench as they await their chance to influence the game in the second 45 minutes if Arteta opts to call upon their services.
Attack
Gabriel Martinelli will feature as the left-winger while Bukayo Saka hopes to make a difference on the right flank. Leandro Trossard will lead the line for the North London giants in the final third. He would be eager to impress after starting on the bench versus Newcastle recently.
Eddie Nketiah will have to settle for a place on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the latter stages of the contest if the Gunners are in need of a goal by then.
