Chelsea locked horns with Newcastle United at St. James’ Park earlier today as they looked to earn a positive result on their travels in the Premier League. The Blues made a slow start to the game and conceded the opening goal in the 13th minute when Alexander Isak scored with a good finish. However, Raheem Sterling equalised for the visitors with a stunning free-kick just ten minutes later. Both sides went into the half-time break with a 1-1 scoreline.
Jamaal Lascelles gave Newcastle the lead at the hour mark before Joelinton got his name on the scoresheet a minute later. Reece James was sent off in the 73rd minute before Anthony Gordon scored another goal for the home team just ten minutes later.
