In a recent report, Mundo Deportivo mentioned that Real Madrid have made contact to land Palmeiras starlet Estevao Willian. It has been stated that Los Blancos are hoping to secure the services of the Brazilian prospect in the future.
Estevao’s Impressive Rise In Brazilian Football
The 16-year-old came through the youth ranks of Cruzeiro before sealing a move to Palmeiras in the summer of 2021. He has done well to establish himself as a key member of Palmeiras’ Under-20 team.
Estevao has made 14 appearances for the Brazilian club’s U-20 side thus far, finding the back of the net on two occasions and earning one assist in multiple competitions. The Franca-born talent has proven himself to be a decent performer on the right flank.
His current contract at Palmeiras will run out in the summer of 2026. Hence, Real Madrid will have to make a good offer if they want to recruit Estevao next year.
Real Madrid Have Made Contact To Land Estevao: Is He A Prospect For The Future?
Estevao can use his quickness to get the better of his marker out in the wide areas when playing with confidence on the pitch. He is a technically gifted footballer who can engineer a few inviting chances for his teammates in the attacking third of the field.
The Brazilian whizkid can even shoot the ball with venom from long range. He is primarily a right-winger but can also function as a left-sided wide player if asked to do so by his manager. However, there are some question marks over whether he can make a smooth transition to life in Spanish football if Real Madrid manage to land him soon.
Recruiting Estevao would no doubt be an excellent, long-term move for Los Blancos as he has the potential to become one of the best players in his position someday. At the moment, he is enjoying his football in the youth ranks of Brazilian football.
However, Estevao is still quite raw and would need time to prove his worth in top-flight football. Still, Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti should think about going all out to sign the Brazilian wing wizard when the transfer window reopens at the start of next year as he is undeniably a prospect to watch out for in the future.
