In a recent report, Tutto Juve mentioned that Real Madrid have identified Juventus ace Dusan Vlahovic as a target ahead of the upcoming January transfer window. It is believed that Los Blancos are eyeing a move to secure the services of the Serbian talent next year.
Vlahovic’s Impressive Numbers In Italian Football
Vlahovic has enjoyed a decent campaign at the Turin club as he has managed to put in a few productive displays in the final third. The 23-year-old has scored four goals and grabbed one assist in ten matches for Juventus this season across all fronts.
The Serbia international has led the line well at times and deserves credit for averaging 2.7 shots and 0.6 key passes per game in Serie A. However, he needs to find a way to improve his ball distribution after making only 72.7% of his attempted passes in top-flight football (stats via whoscored).
His current contract at the Turin club will expire in the summer of 2026. Hence, Los Blancos will have to launch a good offer if they are serious about bringing Vlahovic to the Spanish capital next year.
What Will Vlahovic Bring To Real Madrid?
Vlahovic is proficient at finding a yard of space for himself to get a few strikes in on-target and can contribute by scoring his fair share of goals up top. He has got the eye to create the odd chance for his teammates in the final third and can use his strong 1.90m frame to dominate the opposition defenders in the air.
However, the Serbian sensation needs to find a way to improve his link-up play in the opponent’s half. Still, there is no denying that Vlahovic would bring more firepower to Real Madrid’s frontline.
At 23, the Serbia international will only get better as he matures as a footballer. Hence, it makes sense for Los Blancos to go all out to lure him to the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium when the transfer window reopens in January.
However, it remains to be seen whether Vlahovic can make a smooth transition to life in Spanish football. Still, the pros outweigh the cons of recruiting a player of his skillset as he would help the Madrid giants challenge across all competitions in the coming seasons.
