Barcelona will face off against Real Sociedad at the Reale Arena on Saturday night as they try to bounce back with a win on the road in La Liga. The Catalan giants suffered a narrow 2-1 loss against Real Madrid recently which has halted their momentum going into this clash.
Xavi will set his side up in a 4-3-3 formation and is expected to make some changes to his starting XI for this game. Robert Lewandowski will spearhead Barca’s attack on the attacking end of the field.
4-3-3 Barcelona Predicted Lineup To Face Real Sociedad
Defence
Marc-Andre ter Stegen will function in between the sticks for the Catalan giants after he shipped in a couple of goals in his last outing. Andreas Christensen will operate alongside Jules Kounde at the heart of Barca’s backline as they try to keep things tidy at the back during the game.
Joao Cancelo will try to give a good account of himself as the right-back while Alejandro Balde hopes to catch the eye on the other side as the left-back. Xavi will give both of them the license to get forward and express themselves in the opponent’s half.
Marcos Alonso will provide cover for the defensive positions on the bench.
Midfield
Gavi, Oriol Romeu and Ilkay Gundogan will anchor the midfield for Barcelona as they look to establish their dominance over the opposition in the middle of the park. All three of them would be instructed to move the ball well so that the Catalan club can engineer enough chances to win this contest.
Fermin Lopez will be available for selection on the bench as he awaits his chance to make an impact in the second half if needed.
Attack
Joao Felix will try to put in a productive performance on the left flank while Raphinha hopes to make a difference from the right. Robert Lewandowski will lead the charge for Barca down the middle. He would be keen on getting his name on the scoresheet at the Reale Arena this weekend.
Ferran Torres will be named on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the final quarter if Barca are in need of a goal by then.
