Newcastle United will face off against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium this Saturday evening as they look to secure a good result on the road in the Premier League. The Magpies suffered a 2-0 loss away at Borussia Dortmund in midweek, so they would be eager to bounce back with a win in the league this weekend.
Eddie Howe will stick with his favoured 4-3-3 formation and is expected to make some changes to his first team for this game. Anthony Gordon will probably get the nod to spearhead Newcastle’s attack up top.
4-3-3 Newcastle United Predicted Lineup To Face Bournemouth
Defence
Nick Pope will play in between the sticks for the Magpies after conceding a couple of goals in his last appearance. Jamaal Lascelles will resume his partnership with Fabian Schar at the heart of Newcastle’s defence as they focus on keeping a solid shape when defending inside their half.
Tino Livramento will try to give a good account of himself as the right-back while Kieran Trippier hopes to prove his worth as the left-back. Both of them would try to catch the eye for the Tyneside club out on the flanks.
Dan Burn and Sven Botman will be sidelined for this game due to injuries.
Midfield
Joe Willock, Sean Longstaff and Joelinton will make up Newcastle’s midfield as they focus on winning the 50-50 battles in the middle of the park. Both Willock and Joelinton will also have to carry some of the creative workload for the Magpies in the opponent’s half.
Bruno Guimaraes and Sandro Tonali are suspended for this clash. However, Lucas De Bolle will make up the numbers on the bench as he waits for his chance to impress in the latter stages if Howe opts to call upon his services.
Attack
Lewis Hall will try to impress as the left-sided wide player while Miguel Almiron looks to weave his magic from the right flank. Anthony Gordon will lead the charge for the Magpies on the offensive end of the field. He would be Howe’s best hope for a goal this weekend as Callum Wilson is set to miss this game because of a thigh injury.
