Liverpool will entertain LASK Linz at Anfield this Thursday as they look to secure all three points at home in the Premier League. The Reds managed to earn a 1-1 draw away at Manchester City recently which will keep them in high spirits ahead of this game.
Jurgen Klopp will set his men up in a 4-3-3 formation and could make a lot of changes to his first XI for this game. Cody Gakpo will get a chance to lead the line for the Merseyside club in the final third.
4-3-3 Liverpool Predicted Lineup To Face LASK Linz
Defence
Caoimhin Kelleher will feature in goal for the Reds as he looks to secure a clean sheet at Anfield. Jarell Quansah will function alongside Ibrahima Konate at the centre of Liverpool’s defence as they look to keep things solid at the back during the game.
Trent Alexander-Arnold will operate as the right-back while Joe Gomez fills in on the other flank as the left-back. Both of them will be given the license to get forward and join in on the attack at every chance they get.
Midfield
Klopp could opt for a midfield three of Ryan Gravenberch, Wataru Endo and Harvey Elliott as they try to establish their dominance over the opposition at the centre of the park. All three of them need to move the ball well if they want to create enough chances for Liverpool to win this contest.
Curtis Jones will have to settle for a spot on the bench but might come on to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if required. However, both Thiago Alcantara and Stefan Bajcetic will be sidelined for this game because of injuries.
Attack
Luis Diaz will play as the left-sided wide player while Ben Doak hopes to put his pace to good use on the right flank.
Cody Gakpo will lead the charge for the Merseyside outfit in the final third. He has to find a way to threaten the LASK goal this week.
Mohamed Salah will be available for selection on the bench as he waits for his chance to influence the game in the latter stages if the Reds are in need of a goal by then.
