Liverpool faced off against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium earlier tonight as they looked to secure a good result on the road in the EFL Cup. The Reds made a decent start to the game and scored the opening goal in the 31st minute when Cody Gakpo found the back of the net. Jurgen Klopp‘s men went into the half-time break with a 1-0 advantage.
Justin Kluivert equalised for the home team in the 64th minute. However, Darwin Nunez restored Liverpool’s lead just six minutes later. The contest finished with the Merseyside club securing a narrow 2-1 win on the road.

Jones earned the ball back twice and was a decent presence in the opponent’s half.

He was a constant menace in the final third but there was no goal for him.

The Dutch attacker was not shy of having a strike at goal and managed to score the opener in the 31st minute.

He worked his socks off but lacked quality in front of the Bournemouth goal.
