West Ham United will welcome Nottingham Forest at the London Stadium this Sunday night as they look to earn a good result at home in the Premier League. The Hammers recorded a narrow 1-0 victory over Olympiacos in the UEFA Europa Conference league fixture recently, so they will be eager to get a positive result in this domestic encounter this weekend.
David Moyes will opt for a 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to make some changes to his starting XI for this game. Tomas Soucek will get the nod over Said Benrahma in the final third while Alphonse Areola replaces Lukas Fabianski in the goal.
4-2-3-1 West Ham United Predicted XI Vs Nottingham Forest
Defence
Areola will play in goal for the Hammers as he hopes to earn a clean sheet at the London Stadium this weekend. Konstantinos Mavropanos will continue to function alongside Nayef Aguerd at the centre of West Ham’s defence as they look to keep the Nottingham attackers quiet during the game.
Vladimir Coufal will fill in as the right-back while Emerson Palmieri hopes to catch the eye on the other flank as the left-back. Both of them will have to pick and choose their moments to join in on the attack.
Aaron Cresswell and Thilo Kehrer will offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench.
Midfield
Edson Alvarez and James Ward-Prowse will operate as the central midfielders as they look to move the ball well at the centre of the park.
The talented trio of Lucas Paqueta, Tomas Soucek and Mohammed Kudus will function just ahead of them as part of Moyes’ attack. All three of them need to combine with each other well if West Ham are to secure a convincing win this Sunday night.
Maxwel Cornet will have to be content with a place on the bench as he awaits his opportunity to make an impact in the second half if required.
Attack
Jarrod Bowen will lead the line for the Hammers on the attacking end of the field. He will be instructed to carry most of the goal-scoring workload for West Ham up top.
Michail Antonio will be rested on the bench but might come on to influence the game in the final quarter if the Hammers are in need of a goal by then.
