Alexander-Arnold Gets 8, Salah With 7 | Liverpool Players Rated In Hard-Fought Draw Vs Manchester City

Liverpool faced off against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium earlier today as they looked to earn a good result on the road. The Reds made a good start to the game but conceded the opening goal in the 27th minute when Erling Haaland scored with a great finish. The Merseyside club went into the half-time break 1-0 down on the scoreline.

Trent Alexander-Arnold equalised for the Reds in the 80th minute as the contest ended with Jurgen Klopp‘s men earning a hard-fought 1-1 draw on the road.

The Brazilian keeper gave away the ball cheaply at times but made a few important saves today.

Matip dealt with the danger when needed and did enough to secure a clean sheet.

LB: Kostas Tsimikas – 6.5/10

Tsimikas did his fair share of defending and made one key chance going forward.

CM: Dominik Szoboszlai – 6/10

He worked his socks off at the centre of the park but struggled to get into the flow of the game.

CM: Alexis Mac Allister – 6.5/10

Mac Allister anchored the midfield with conviction at times but offered very little going forward.

CM: Curtis Jones – 6/10

He made one good run with the ball but failed to trouble the opposition goal.

RW: Mohamed Salah – 7/10

Salah caused a few headaches for the opposition defenders and has got an assist to show for his efforts.

The Uruguay international was a constant menace up top but failed to take any of his chances.

He struggled to get into the flow of the game and was replaced early in the second half.
