Will Pochettino Make Any Changes? | 4-2-3-1 Chelsea Predicted Lineup Vs Brentford

Chelsea will entertain Brentford at Stamford Bridge this Saturday afternoon as they try to secure a positive result in front of their home fans in the Premier League. The Blues earned a 2-2 draw against Arsenal in the London derby earlier this month. Hence, they will be eager to get back to winning ways versus the Bees this weekend.

Mauricio Pochettino will set his men up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and might be inclined to keep changes to a minimum for this game. Therefore, we can once again expect to see Cole Palmer lead the line for Chelsea up top.

4-2-3-1 Chelsea Predicted Lineup To Face Brentford

Defence

Robert Sanchez will play in between the sticks for the West London club after conceding a couple of goals in his last league appearance. Thiago Silva will partner Levi Colwill at the centre of Chelsea’s backline as they look to keep the Brentford attackers frustrated during the contest.

Malo Gusto will fill in as the right-back while Marc Cucurella hopes to catch the eye on the other flank as the left-back. Both of them would be eager to make a difference in the opponent’s half and offer some decent support to the front players.

Reece James and Benoit Badiashile will have to be content with a spot on the bench as they offer cover for the defensive positions.

Midfield

Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo will anchor the midfield for Chelsea as they look to win the 50-50 battles at the centre of the park.

The gifted trio of Mykhailo Mudryk, Conor Gallagher and Raheem Sterling will operate just ahead of them as part of the London club’s attack. All three of them need to move the ball well if they want to engineer enough chances for Chelsea to win this clash.

Noni Madueke and Ian Maatsen will be named on the bench as they wait for their chance to shine in the latter stages if required.

Attack

Cole Palmer will spearhead Pochettino’s attack up top. He would be keen on finding the back of the net after scoring from the penalty spot against Arsenal last weekend.

Nicolas Jackson will have to settle for a place on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the final quarter if needed.
