In a recent report, Defensa Central mentioned that Real Madrid have been offered a chance to land Juventus forward Dusan Vlahovic on loan in the January transfer window. It is believed that Los Blancos have been given an opportunity to sign the Serbian striker on a loan deal this winter.
Vlahovic’s Impressive Season At The Allianz Stadium So Far
Vlahovic has made a good start to this campaign as he has put in a few eye-catching displays for Juve in the final third. The 23-year-old scored four goals and earned one assist in six matches for the Turin outfit this season in Serie A.
The Serbian sensation has led the line well and deserves credit for averaging 3.0 shots and 0.5 key passes per 90 minutes in Serie A football. However, he has lacked quality when interchanging possession deep inside the opponent’s half after completing 73.2% of his attempted passes in league football (stats via whoscored).
Vlahovic is under contract at the Italian club until the summer of 2026. Thus, it makes sense for Real Madrid to sign him on loan as he would add more depth to Carlo Ancelotti’s squad.
Is Vlahovic A Good Option For Real Madrid Boss Carlo Ancelotti?
Vlahovic can engineer a yard of space for himself to get some shots in at goal and is a good finisher in the final third when he is playing with confidence on the pitch. The Serbian attacker can create the odd chance for his teammates up top but needs to figure out a way to improve his link-up play in the opposition half.
We can expect Vlahovic to inject more firepower into Ancelotti’s frontline. He is good enough to offer cover for Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo. Furthermore, Vlahovic would be an upgrade over Joselu at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.
All in all, the Juventus centre-forward would be a good option for Los Blancos to pursue in the short term. He has what it takes to help Real Madrid challenge across all competitions this season. Hence, Ancelotti should focus on arranging a loan move to bring Vlahovic to the Spanish capital on loan when the transfer reopens at the start of next year.
