In a recent report, Fichajes mentioned that Real Madrid are showing interest in Inter Milan full-back Federico Dimarco. It has been stated that Los Blancos are eyeing a move to acquire the services of the Italian defender at the end of this season.
Dimarco’s Impressive Form In Italian Football
Dimarco is enjoying a solid campaign at San Siro as he has produced a handful of impressive displays on the left side of Inter’s backline. The Milano-born talent has registered one goal and three assists in seven matches for the Italian outfit this season across all fronts.
The 25-year-old has been a positive influence in both halves based on his average of 1.7 tackles, 0.7 clearances, 2.2 shots and 2.8 key passes per 90 minutes in Serie A. He has even been accurate when distributing possession from the left flank after making 88.1% of his attempted passes in league football (stats via whoscored).
His current contract at the Italian club will run out in the summer of 2026. Hence, Real Madrid will have to launch a big move if they want to recruit Dimarco next year.
Will Dimarco Be A Good Option For Real Madrid?
Dimarco is a tough-tackling full-back who can clear the danger when the opposition are on the front foot. He can strike the ball with power from long range and can engineer a few decent chances for his teammates from the left flank.
The Italian talent is primarily a left-back but can also function as a central defender if told to do so by his manager. However, he might need time to adapt to life in La Liga.
We can expect Dimarco to add more quality to Real Madrid‘s defence and could help Los Blancos challenge across all fronts in the coming seasons.
Dimarco is good enough to offer some decent competition for Fran Garcia at the Madrid club. He would even serve as an ideal replacement for Ferland Mendy at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium next season.
At 25, Dimarco has his best years ahead of him and could turn out to be a success story at the Spanish club in the long run. Thus, he will be a great option for Los Blancos to pursue at the end of this campaign.
