In a recent report, Fichajes mentioned that Real Madrid are keeping tabs on Liverpool Montevideo forward Luciano Rodriguez. It has been stated that Los Blancos are monitoring the progress of the Uruguayan whizkid.
Rodriguez’s Impressive Rise In Uruguayan Football
Rodriguez has managed to put in a run of impressive displays as the focal point of Liverpool Montevideo’s attack. The 20-year-old has found the back of the net on three occasions and picked up three assists in 21 senior matches for the Uruguayan outfit thus far on all fronts.
The talented youngster has caught the eye with his performances on the attacking third of the pitch and deserves a ton of credit for establishing himself as a first-team starter at Liverpool Montevideo.
The South American forward’s current contract at the Uruguayan club will run out at the end of 2027. Hence, Real Madrid will have to launch a convincing offer if they want to stand a chance of recruiting Rodriguez this January or next summer.
Real Madrid Are Keeping Tabs On Rodriguez: Is He A Prospect For The Future?
Rodriguez can engineer a yard of space for himself to get a few strikes in on-target. He has got the vision to create the odd chance for his teammates in the final third and is a decent dribbler with the ball as well.
Rodriguez is primarily a centre-forward but can also fill in as a wide player on either flank if told to do so by his manager.
The Uruguayan wonderkid has done well to add a few goals and assists to his game but needs to find a way to be more consistent with his productivity up top.
Rodriguez will enhance the quality of Real Madrid‘s frontline. At 20, he is undoubtedly a prospect to watch out for in the future. Hence, Los Blancos would be wise to try everything they can to lure him to the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium this January or at the end of this campaign.
However, Rodriguez is still quite raw and would need time to prove his worth in Spanish football if the Madrid giants can manage to get him on board next year.
